Daphne Alazraki Fine Art, located in a beautiful 19th century townhouse on Manhattan's Upper East Side, offers museum-quality European paintings of the 17th through 19th centuries. Founded on our expertise in 17th century Northern Old Masters, the gallery has built a strong emphasis on 19th century European paintings including Barbizon, Academic, Dutch Romantic, and Post-Impressionist works. In addition the gallery also offers early 20th century American paintings. Our inventory covers a wide range of subjects, including still life, portrait, landscape, genre and marine pictures.
Daphne Alazraki, a California native, has dealt in fine art services for over sixteen years. After working at Christie's, Alazraki moved to Europe for several years where she started to build a business infrastructure and train her artistic eye. A long-time participant in international art fairs, Alazraki became well-known early in her career as one of the few women dealers specializing in Old Masters. Since generating greater interest toward nineteenth century European art, the Gallery continues to seek out exceptional work for established and new clients in both areas.
Daphne Alazraki participates at US Artists, Philadelphia (19-21 October, 2007), The European Fine Art Fair, Maastricht, The Netherlands (7-16 March, 2008), and The International Fine Art Fair, New York (9-14 May, 2008). Alazraki has for many years served as a board member on the Private Art Dealers Association (PADA), an organization that aims to promote cooperation amongst art dealers and to benefit private collecting and awareness in the arts.
The gallery offers valuation services and seeks to purchase works by both major and minor masters directly from private collections.
