This superior example of a provincial Roxbury type case, with delicate fret and French feet, exhibits choice mahogany panels with vibrant cross banding. This case which features wonderfully figured mahogany and a mellow old surface, is in an agreeable small size. The arched pediment, paneled base and distinctive ogee feet are typical Newport characteristics.
