STONEWARE PRESENTATION COOLER Cobalt slip cup decorated presentation cooler made by John Park Alexander. Akron, Ohio, 1876 An impressive 27" tall John Alexander was awarded two gold medals at America's Centennial celebration in Philadelphia in 1876. One of the medals was for decorated pottery. Alexander operated a large stoneware factory in Akron between 1862-1885. Research continues to determine Harley and Carll's involvement with this historic piece.
