Queen Anne Walnut & Maple Easy Chair. A generous and inviting easy chair of a robust and cohesive design with inviting out-swept arms with conical supports, compass seat, and graceful cabriole legs feet. The maple rear legs, typical of New England construction, are potently raked floor. The bold block and turned side stretchers and arrow medial and rear stretchers are in masterful balance. Frame completely original (corner blocks added at rear of seat frame), maintained old surface with great patina. Height 47". Circa 1755.
