Black lacquered with finely detailed gilt decoration of intricate Chinese scenes and fitted with original carved ivory sewing implements. In exceptional condition, this table descended in one family. The center section opens to reveal a mirror and ratcheted work surface with red velvet fabric and storage below. The side compartments open to removable gilt decorated sectioned trays with ivory sewing tools, all resting on decorated legs with carved trestle base and lotus feet. 29-1/2" H. 28" W. 23" D.
