A very fine & rare English borne style clock by the celebrated maker Weeks who owned the Weeks Museum in Titchborne Street. The case of Derbyshire black marble & decorated with the finest fire gilt ormolu mounts with a pair of lions ( one of Weeks's favourite motifs to the base). The timepiece movement with typical Weeks dial, centre second & escapement. Original trapezoide pendulum. Circa 1800.
