Black transfer printed and polychrome decorated. On one side, within an oval medallion is a polychromed landscape with the sea and a harbor on the right. In the center foreground, in front of a large cannon and under an American flag, stands a soldier in full Continental uniform. Printed around the edge of the medallion are the words Success to America whose Militia is better than standing Armies; May its Citizens Emulate Soldiers and its Soldiers Heroes. Below are the words While Justice is the Throne to which we are bound to bend, Our Country's rights and Laws we ever will defend. On the opposite side is a ship flying the American flag, and under the spout, the winged figure of Fame. Circa 1800
