This lot which includes a vibrant watercolor painted heart with interior hex signs by Chandler Darlington of Darlington Corner, Chester County, Pennsylvania, circa 1840. This lot also includes Darlington's heavily illustrated school workbooks titled "Mensuration by Chandler Darlington"; "Chandler Darlington's Book Containing a Treatise in Algebra"; and his 1853 Philadeplphia marriage license. Darlington came from a mainline Philadelphia family who immigrated to America at least by the late 17th century. See my website for more photos and info.
