Superb side chair with blind fretted "Marlborough" front legs (fretting also around the outside surface of the legs) and original finish. Carved open splat. Carving at top of skirt rail. Overupholstered seat. (18" high) The best! Came from the Shaw estate north of Boston. The Shaws were a prominent family in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1750.
