A Prattware Puzzle Pipe With Man's Head Bowl.

The puzzle pipe has an unusual bowl in the form of a man's head. He is well modelled and wears a top hat decorated in orange and brown. The pipe involved a complex arrangement of swirls. The top section is decorated in solid colors of dark blue and orange and below the decoration becomes alternating orange and blue dots terminating in the mouthpiece which is also in orange. There is slight discoloration on the final small section of pipe and the original mouthpiece has been cleanly off and invisibly repaired.

Circa 1800-1810.
