An Italian Faience Majolica Plaque, Castelli.

The rectangular plaque, painted in a typical palette with grrens, blue and orange, depicts a young woman dressed in a yellow dress, hat in her left hand walking bare-footed across a mountsain meadow, leading a bull. In thre background is a valley with a river and a town and hills beyond. On either side of her are large trees, some of their leaves turning yellow with the fall season. The plaque is within a black wood frame.
