This diminutive Chinese Export black lacquered and pain stakingly hand painted gilt cabinet is a scarce early 19th Century China Trade survivor. The exterior is all over decorated with scenes of the Chinese Court in two tones of gilding. The interior is fitted with five drawers decorated with two tones of gilding and turned ivory knobs which make it an excellent choice for a jewelry box. The original hinges and lock are in place, in very good overall condition showing some wear consistent with its age. 12-3/4" H. X 12-1/2" W. X 7-1/4" D.
