Articles of Agreement Printed by Benjamin Franklin, 1733 Twenty pages with numerous handwritten notations on the front and back covers, including (on back): “This agreement belongs to Tho McKean Esq” H. 12-7/8 x W. 8-1/4 in. With attached woodcut map after John Senex’s London copperplate engraving of the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays with the proposed boundary lines between Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware and portions of Virginia and New Jersey shown as well. Map: H. 16-1/4 x W. 12-3/4 in. Foxing and folds with water stains on the last three pages and small losses on pages 19/20. Franklin’s woodcut map of the disputed boundary between Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware is thought to be the first map printed in the English colonies South of New York.
