Initialed "B.W." and dated '1876,' in brilliant original red, black, and yellow paint. Embellished with gold and silver urn and floral decoration. Retaining its original shellacked surface. This chest is strongly related to other known Conemaugh Township, Pennsylvania examples made for the Wingard Family.
