A very rare striking mirror clock by Leonard W. Noyes, Nashua, New Hampshire, circa 1830
The fine example is in wonderful pristine condition and has a mellow patina to the gilt gesso frames. The split column frame holds the original mirrored tablet and the gilt and foliate reverse painted dial panel. The dial is decorated with Roman numerals and has a terrific signature that reads, "Warranted by / L.W. Noyes". The brass movement has the rare feature of a full striking mechanism. This ...
