Circa 1830. A monumental Flemish Oak and Ebonised cupboard from the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha collection. The frieze top is decorated with carved heads divided by ebonised panels. The doors feature ebonised panels set within geometric borders, each door is flanked by a fluted pilaster resting on boldly carved cartouches. There are two further drawers below, each flanked by a carved lions head. This piece is notable for the excellent quality of timber used, which has developed a mellow patina over the years. Its fine carving is a testament to the skill of the craftsmen who made it.
