A very fine English mahogany hunt table, circa 1835. Retaining its original patina and tole liner for ice and bottle storage. The semi-circular shaped top shows the original opening (with the conforming piece removed) where the Hunt Master served drinks to his companions after the hunt. At the back, a brass curtain rail (to prevent splashing) is supported by gilt bronze animal shaped mounts. The table sits on four carved legs capped by flat petal carvings. The legs taper downward to original fitted brass cup casters.
