An Important Hepplewhite Lady's Secretary

Circa 1805-1810. Attributed to Clark Morss of Newburyport, Mass. Mahogany, mahogany veneer, and white pine. The sculpted skirt with inlay supports a dramatic "V" of highly patinated mahogany veneer. The top compartments with crossbanding and inlay signed brasses LH.

H. 50-1/2", W. 40-1/4", depth open 27-1/2", depth closed 19-1/2".

Leather blotter replaced; brasses possibly replaced.
