An extremely rare set of solid cast brass andirons in the form of sitting owls (the fire light glows through the glass eyes), along with a matching set of fire tools of cast iron with cast brass owl form handles. The tool set includes a stand, poker, tongs, shovel and broom. The log holders have been professionally made as replacements. The measurements are: tool stand 26-1/2" H., the andirons are 14-1/2" H. x 9" W. X 16-1/2" D., all in excellent condition, circa 1900.
