Circa 1900 - This lovely little antique Agra carpet has an unusual allover design made up of asymmetrical medallions. Each of these consists of sprays of windblown leafy vines in champagne outlined by burgundy against the rich sandy saffron ground. The relatively open field contrasts with the delicate density of the border with its vinescroll of carnations.
