Attributed to Henry Lapp, a 19th century Amish craftsman from Lancaster County, PA. Chest is a wonderful and rare example of Lapp's style, consisting of a red painted background, blue and yellow grained sunburst drawers and signature porcelain knobs. Dated 1891 with the owner's initials, and decorated with butterfly, bird and flower decals. Made of poplar and pine, standing on turned feet. Original surface.
