The theme of this year's symposium is "Treasure Houses: Great Personalities, Exquisite Objects, and Magnificent Architecture." Presentations will examine the personalities who have produced the world's great treasure houses and their collections. The symposium attracts an international attendance of academics, collectors, curators, trustees, major donors, furniture appraisers, and art dealers, and is rated both for its serious contribution to the field of fine arts and as a locus where the likeminded can meet.
