Frank Lloyd Wright designed this house for Dr. Isadore J. and Mrs. Lucille Zimmerman in 1950. A classic “Usonian,” it conforms to the type of well-designed low-cost homes he began creating in the mid-1930s. Donated to the Currier Museum of Art in 1988, the house was recently restored to Frank Lloyd Wright’s original specifications. Now the Currier has teamed up with the University of New Hampshire to restore the gardens, giving visitors the opportunity to see how Wright incorporated the landscape into his architectural design. This is the only Frank Lloyd Wright-designed residence open to the public in New England.
