Shaker craftsmanship typically adhered to strict formulas. This possibly unique chair combines a classic Shaker style with innovative features. The unusual upward scroll of the arm along with a three slat back and applied rockers makes it atypical in Shaker workmanship.

With a dark, old varnish over original red paint and probably the original ash seat, this chair is in excellent condition and exhibits no repairs.
